Performance Feedback from The Tempest - June 13th - 16th 2012
A wonderful story of loss, love, redemption and reconciliation set in the stunning and evocative surroundings of Dunnottar Castle in Stonehaven.

Hello Jo
Despite the unharmonious weather I was absolutely thrilled that we decided to come tonight. I really enjoyed the performance. All the young people were so professional and so confident .
Jo I just want to say you are absolutely phenomenal. How you had the vision to see how the whole thing would be set using the beach and the castle. You are just visionary.
I have to congratulate you on inspiring the kids to take on Shakespeare and be so enthusiastic about it. Just brilliant. What a skill. I just had to congratulate you as we didn't have much time for a round of applause. Well done everyone.
From Kelly and Myra.
Dear Jo
You should be congratulated on both your fortitude and on the results of your endeavours to create a first class production. It was interesting to see how some of the cast had matured over a year or two. I hardly recognised Brodie, Eleanor and Scarlet and James was much the same in many ways but even better. Standing next to Claire, I could see that Prospero hardly said a wrong word. Andrew was quite amazing. As for the older participant, it is unlikely that we would get away without something unscripted.
Very many thanks from Fiona and me. We are not really Shakespearians but it was a very enjoyable and memorable experience. There might have been a Plan B but it could not have been so memorable!
Best wishes
Jamie
Hi
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed Thursday's performance. The cast was excellent - in particular Caliban, Ariel, Trinculo and Stephano. Much respect also to the fairies - they must have been freezing!
Well done all involved!
Emma
Dear Joanne,
what a superb performance last night! We had a really enjoyable evening well worth the drive up from St Andrews. What a beautiful setting which was brilliantly used in the play. The cast were also well selected, and particularly Ariel and Caliban were excellent.
I hope that the weather will be kind for the remainder of the performances.
Big clap of hands for all those involved, the hard work really paid off. Way to go!
Bests,
Sonja
Jo Just wanted to say how fantastic the production was last night. Could have been the RSC at The Globe.
Will forget how cold it was but wont forget the performance - inspired!
Keith didnt manage to get last night - had to go to a work thing. Any tickets left for Saturday? Really hope it stays dry tonight :-)
Clare was at Mackie for induction yesterday and they had to write about 6 memorable events in their life and "Alice" and the dormouse was on her list. Kidzact does great things !
Ciao Gillian
Hi! Jo!
Just wanted to say what a fantastic performance of the Tempest. I was there on Thursday night and even though Shakespeare is really not my thing I thoroughly enjoyed it. All the actors were brilliant and there was not a weak link! Lots of lovely production "bitties" as well. Well done - a thoroughly deserved huge round of plaudits to you and cast and crew! – Ray Milne, via fb
Hey Jo! Just wanted to say a massive well done and thank you for the show tonight! Was brilliant even if it was freezing! Good to see everyone again tonight and hope we can come to the next show you decide to do :) Oh and thanks for the scarf as well - think it suited me! X – Stuart Byres, via fb
Well, this week i have seen not one, but two pretty amazing things......
First - The Olympic Torch
Second - The Tempest at Dunnottar castle acted out by kids act youth theatre. We sat and watched a fantastic performance dressed in snowboarding clothes whilst the performers wore just their costumes without shivering - That's what I call good acting.
Well done Guys! Good luck for your last show tonight! – Odyssee Hair Design, via fb
Already put a simpering comment on The Tempest page but I'm seriously so proud of everyone. A fab show not put off by the rubbish weather :) x Jenny Ward – via fb
There were loads more via facebook and telephone calls congratulating you all on a most
incredible production.
